Wesly Anthony Clergé is a classically trained singer and actor who graduated from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York with his Bachelor of Music. Originally a native of New York, he has lived in various cities across the United States. Wesly Anthony Clergé is distinguishing himself as a powerful contemporary artist in both the theatre and opera industries. He has performed overseas in Europe and throughout the United States of America, performing in a combination of musical theatre, opera, concert, and choral works leading him to appear in a variety of different roles.

Wesly began his musical journey performing in musical theatre and is delighted to continue that journey today. Recently, he performed in Music Theater Works production of Ragtime, Porchlight Music Theatre’s New Faces Sing Broadway 1979 and Music Theater Works Live! Previous musical theatre credits include The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, The Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Benny from In The Heights, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, Awge the God of Water in Once on This Island and so much more. Mr. Clergé has also performed numerous operatic roles including Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Ser Amantio di Nicolao & Maestro Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi, Carceriere in Tosca, Prince Hérisson de Porc-Epic in L'étoile, Luther in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, and both Frank and Eisentein in Die Fledermaus and many more.

As a featured soloist, Mr. Clergé has started appearing in a range of concert works. Some of these works include the Fauré Requiem, Carmina Burana, Mozart Requiem, Duruflé Requiem, and Ein deutsches Requiem (Brahm’s Requiem). 

As an artist, Wesly Anthony Clergé prides himself on being a complete and versatile performer. In 2017, he was awarded 1st place in the Classical Singer Competition at the regional level. Through his performances, Wesly hopes to invigorate his audiences, revitalize his community and inspire the next generation of artists to connect, create and share stories in a collaborative effort.
